

BREAST IMPLANTS
Breast implant is a prosthesis used for altering the shape and size of breast of a woman. Breast implants is also known as mammoplasty enlargement, breast augmentation, augmentation mammoplasty or breast enlargement or boob job. Boob implants is one of the most frequently performed cosmetic surgical procedures in the US.
There are two kinds of breast implants: saline filled and silicone gel filled implants. Silicone gel implants come with silicone shell filled with a viscous silicone gel whereas saline implants come with silicone elastomer shell filled with sterile saline liquid.
Various alternatives of breast implants had been developed which includes soy oil or polypropylene string but are no longer being manufactured.

Revision Augmentation

Primary Reconstruction
This is meant for replacing breast tissue which has been removed as a result of trauma or cancer or as a result of breast abnormality.
Revision Reconstruction
This breast implant is meant for correcting or improving results of original breast reconstruction surgery.
Women having implants underneath the muscles have a longer recovery period and experience more pain as muscle is cut during surgery. After boob implants you will have to avoid strenuous physical activity and exercise for up to six weeks.
Scars after boob implant surgery generally last six weeks or longer and only start to fade away after several months of surgery. Boob implants remain intact inside in the body for decades but one need to remember that they will fail at some point of time.
